Used for:
Medium power isolated converters where switch voltage must be limited
Pros:
- Switch voltage stress is clamped to Vcc
- Good transformer utilisation

Cons:
- Two switches needed
- High-side gate drive needed
- Two voltage splitting capacitors needed
- Need centre tapped secondary unless lossy full bridge rectifier used. or current doubler
- Can’t use current mode control unless an extra balancing winding used
