Full Bridge
Used for:
High power isolated converters where switch voltage must be limited
Pros:
- Switch voltage stress is clamped to Vcc
- Good transformer utilisation
- Can use current mode control
Cons:
- Four switches needed
- Two High-
side gate drives needed - Need centre tapped secondary unless lossy full bridge rectifier used or current doubler
